The crossover clash is set to be rescheduled.

We may still be waiting for a date for the rescheduled bout between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, but former European champion Spencer Oliver has entered the crossover clash.

The boxing legend and the YouTube star were set to meet at the end of July, but Tyson's ill health has delayed the fight and a new date is expected to be announced on June 7.

However, talking to talkSPORT Bet , Oliver has admitted he's not a fan of the showdown and labelled the idea a 'sad spectacle'.

“I was excited about it when I heard that it was an exhibition,” Oliver said.

“It's reliving your youth, when I used to get up and listen on the radio to his fight against Trevor Berbick in 1986. He won a world heavyweight title, the youngest ever world heavyweight champion and gave me great memories that inspired me to want to become a fighter.

“But now it's boxing rules and it's a real fight, I don't really like it. I just hope that both guys come out safe and it's not too much of a sad spectacle.

“Mike Tyson is a boxing icon. He's a guy whose legacy will go on for years and years like Muhammad Ali. He's an icon and that's different to being an ex-world champion.

“Tyson's always going to have pulling power and it’s about money, I recognise that. But he’s tainting his reputation. We're talking about legacies and history here.”
