Former rival of Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker to make comeback in March

Former rival of Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker to make comeback in MarchDAZN

Joe Joyce will once again aim to rebuild his career when he returns to action in Southampton on March 1.

In 2022, Joyce appeared to be the heavyweight with the most momentum as he stopped Joseph Parker to become WBO interim champion.

With the following year expected to be the time when Joyce would receive a title shot, his plans were thwarted when he was stopped twice by Zhilei Zhang.

Those results were huge shocks to the 2016 Olympian and the first attempt to mount a spirited comeback were derailed last year when he was beaten by Derek Chisora.

With the heavyweight division currently providing opportunities to multiple fighters, Joyce is still eager to have a say at the top end and he can do that in his next battle.

Not all in the boxing world are convinced he can have the same impact he did when beating Parker and Daniel Dubois, but he’ll at least have the chance to prove those people wrong.

“Can he turn it around? We’ll give him the opportunity to see if he can,” said Frank Warren when speaking to Boxnation

“If he does, I’ll be the most delighted person about that, but let’s see if he can. Every fight he’s in now defines what his future is in boxing.”
