Stephen Fulton will begin his quest to become world champion again on June 15 when he goes in with Luis Reynoldo Nunez as reported by The Ring.
The resumption of Fulton’s career will be at featherweight, and he’ll appear on the undercard of Gervonta Davis’ next fight against Frank Martin in Las Vegas.
Last summer, Fulton aimed to become undisputed champion at super-bantamweight but his run as world champion was ended by the brilliant Naoya Inoue.
The Japanese star was too good for Fulton as he stopped the Philadelphian in eight rounds.
Fulton is hopeful that a comeback at featherweight can bring world title opportunities with the division currently hosting some action-packed fighters.
Two weeks before Fulton returns, Nick Ball and Raymond Ford will collide for the latter’s WBA belt.
