Paulie Malignaggi has no big desire to see Gervonta Davis fight Vasiliy Lomachenko after his most recent win.
Davis extended his unbeaten run earlier this month with a destructive knockout over Frank Martin in Las Vegas.
In the fight’s immediate aftermath, attention switched to a potential showdown between Davis and Lomachenko later this year.
The Ukrainian defeated George Kambosos to become world champion at lightweight recently, but Malignaggi would prefer to see ‘Tank’ in a different fight.
“They talked about Lomachenko at the post-fight press conference. [Shakur] Stevenson was always mentioning Lomachenko’s name,” said Malignaggi when speaking to ProBox TV.
“This is my issue here. When I wanted to see Davis and Lomachenko, I wanted to see Davis and Lomachenko. I don’t need to see Davis and Lomachenko when it’s too late already.
“Now, I want to see Davis and Stevenson.”
