Tyson Fury’s reputation took a huge hit last month when he was dropped by Francis Ngannou before defeating the debutant via split decision.
Before that contest, Fury had been spoken about in a positive manner within boxing circles with his credentials sometimes compared to fighters from yesteryear.
Shannon Briggs, a former world champion, is a keen observer of the heavyweight division and as well as featuring briefly in Fury’s era, he was also about in Mike Tyson’s generation.
Asked who’d win a fantasy fight between the fighters, Briggs was adamant that his fellow New Yorker would be too good for Fury.
“[Fury] know how to move, he got that rhythm, but in their prime, I’m going with Mike Tyson. He’s not a regular human being,” said Briggs when speaking on the Jaxxon podcast.
