Hasim Rahman knows all about the qualities possessed by Lennox Lewis and he’s called on his former rival to aid the comeback of Anthony Joshua.
Last weekend, Joshua was dropped four times before being stopped against Daniel Dubois and plenty of scrutiny has fallen on his trainer, Ben Davison.
The former coach of Tyson Fury has been credited as being the man to rejuvenate Joshua in recent fights after the Watford man had spells with Robert Garcia and Derrick James.
Rahman, who defeated Lewis in 2001 before losing an immediate rematch, has had his say on Joshua’s recent setback and he thinks his former rival is the man who can reinstall Joshua as heavyweight champion.
“I think Lennox would be the best trainer for Anthony Joshua,” said Rahman when speaking to Fighthype.
“So whatever little discrepancy that they got, they can put that to the side and make an all-British dream team and go back and reclaim the title a third time.
“I think Lennox is the man for Anthony. I know Lennox would do this, and I think they would create a dream team together.”
