It’s almost two and a half years since Hughie Fury last fought but the former world title challenger will be back in action on April 20.
Fury will end his lengthy spell of inactivity at the Magna Centre in Rotherham as he begins his quest to return to the business end of the division where his cousin Tyson is the WBC champion.
Many intriguing fights await Fury and a dominant showing in Yorkshire could open the door for lucrative fights down the line.
The heavyweight weight category is heating up with numerous high profile bouts taking place in Saudi Arabia featuring the likes of Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk, and Fury will be eager to be part of the action.
In 2017, Fury welcomed Joseph Parker to Manchester when competing for the WBO title, but he was not able to get the job done.
Further defeats against Kubrat Pulev and Alexander Povetkin pushed Fury further down the pecking order, but he’s back this year and he’ll be looking to secure further big fights.
