The two stars have been linked to a seismic event.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is not fazed by Anthony Joshua's claim that he could knock him out.

Ngannou is now a major player in boxing's heavyweight division after producing a credible performance against WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Barely anyone gave the Cameroonian a chance against Fury, but Ngannou showed that he could share the ring with the very best. He even produced a third round knockdown, but that was not enough with Fury being awarded the win via a split decision.

Since the loss to Fury, Ngannou has been linked with a fight against former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua who believes that he would make easy work of the MMA star and knock him out.

When asked to respond to the claim on Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay podcast, Ngannou was dimissive of Joshua's confidence ahead of a potential showdown.

"Even Tyson Fury said the same thing and Tyson Fury is better than Anthony Joshua, so what do I care about what people say?" Ngannou said.

“I’ve been in this game so long. I’ve seen so much. I’ve heard what people intend to do. There’s a difference between wanting to do and being able to do.”

Before a fight with Ngannou can be explored, Joshua must first get past Otto Wallin when they meet on December 23 on the "Day of Reckoning" card in Saudi Arabia which can be seen live across the world on DAZN PPV
