Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn could work together in new boxing concept says Turki AlalshikhMark Robinson/Matchroom Boxing

Since Turki Alalshikh has become involved in the sport of boxing, the effect he has had is one for the better.

There have been a number of benefits following his arrival, including his ability to get promotional rivals to work together.

Before Riyadh Season became a big time player in boxing, it was very rare to see promoters Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn work together. This particular British boxing rivalry would often stop certain contests from being made, but Alalshikh has managed to get the pair working together on some huge events.

This new relationship was showcased earlier this year with the Queensberry vs. Matchroom 5v5 card which saw Warren's Queensberry stable of fighters go up against Hearn's.

On that occasion, Warren had a clean sweep winning all five of the fights.

As expected, Hearn is eager to run things back in an attempt to get British boxing bragging rights, and Alalshikh revealed that while plans are being put in place for another 5v5, there is a chance a new format could be introduced next year.

"We are also working on, maybe in May, we will find a good day to have one of two options," Alalshikh told DAZN's Ariel and Ade: The Boxing Show

"The first is 5v5 again between Frank and Eddie, or 6v6 between Eddie and Frank as a side, and Top Rank and Golden Boy on another side, America against England.

"These are two ideas we are discussing to have in May."

If either a 5v5 or 6v6 event is confirmed for May 2025, it will add to Tuesday's announcement that a Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol rematch will be the main event of a stacked Riyadh Season card on February 22
