Frank Warren and Carl Froch are continuing to exchange verbal barbs with Tyson Fury still the subject of their cross words.
Warren, a significant part of Fury’s team and also a Hall of Fame promoter, is going all out to defend his fighter as he prepares for a huge crossover fight against former UFC star, Francis Ngannou next month.
Froch, a Hall of Famer himself, built his career by constantly testing himself against boxing’s biggest names and although he endured a couple of defeats, he was always seeking the hardest challenges.
Froch has been critical of Fury facing a boxing debutant rather than Oleksandr Usyk, but Warren is backing his man.
“He’s beaten the best fighter of his generation in [Wladimir] Klitschko, something that Carl couldn’t do when he was fighting, Andre Ward done a job on him,” said Warren when speaking to Boxing Social.
“Tyson did what he couldn’t do, and then beat the biggest punching heavyweight three times, because he got robbed in the first fight.”
“At the end of the day, Carl Froch, who cares? I know that if they were walking down the street, Tyson Fury and Carl Froch, and people wanted autographs, I know where the queue would be.”
