'The division is so sexy!' - Frank Warren backing Daniel Dubois to maintain heavyweight reign

'The division is so sexy!' - Frank Warren backing Daniel Dubois to maintain heavyweight reignMark Robinson/Matchroom Boxing

Daniel Dubois can extend his reign over a "so sexy" heavyweight division against Joseph Parker, with Frank Warren backing his man to deliver success again next month.

The Briton mounts the latest defence of his IBF title against the New Zealander at Riyadh Season's The Last Crescendo, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View on February 22.

It marks the first time Dubois will have fought since he scored a fifth-round stoppage victory over Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium last September in an upset.

The star has now seen off several challengers since a loss to Oleksandr Usyk, and despite Parker's own impressive form, Queensberry Promotions boss Warren feels he is in the box seat again.

"His last three fights have been amazing," he said. "He's gone in as an underdog, stopped everybody and done it style, against undefeated fighters and former world champions.

"Joe Parker is on a roll himself. Daniel couldn't have picked a tougher fight, and that's what it's about. Daniel's going to have his hands full, but he believes in himself.

"We're game, and we're going to see a cracking fight. The division is so sexy at the moment, and Daniel is the next Brit on the block coming through."

A victory for Dubois would likely set up a rematch with Usyk, with the former having challenged the latter in the ring following a victory over Tyson Fury in December.

But questions remain over whether the Ukrainian will remain at heavyweight or return to his former cruiserweight division as he approaches the end of his career.
