The two heavyweights are often linked with a fight.

Frank Warren believes that Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury might have to wait until next year.

Fury is due to fight on May 18, live on DAZN PPV , against Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia to decide the undisputed heavyweight champion.

However, there is a rematch clause, and given the size of the payday on offer for both bouts, the promoter thinks it is unlikely either fighter would turn down the chance to run it back, even before belts are considered.

Joshua meanwhile last fought against Francis Ngannou, defeating him earlier this month with a second-round knockout.

That would leave Joshua looking for a fight in the interim, potentially a world title fight if one or more of the belts is vacated after the first edition of Fury vs. Usyk.

Asked about Fury’s plans for this year to include Usyk, Warren told Sky Sports : "One of them is, definitely!

"These guys are getting massive, massive purses for these fights.

"The loser I'm quite sure will trigger the rematch clause because of the finances that are involved.

"Next March if Tyson does what I believe he'll do and AJ continues to win, I'm sure that'll set up a big fight.”
