Tyson Fury is set to face Oleksandr Usyk in an immediate rematch after his promoter confirmed that’s what his fighter wants to do next.
Fury has the option of a second meeting after losing to Usyk earlier this month and that’s the direction he appears to be heading in.
Fury made a decent start against the talented Ukrainian but his gameplan fell apart when he was rocked badly in the ninth round.
Usyk finished strong to earn a split decision victory, but it was unclear what Fury would do next.
Frank Warren, the man who has masterminded Fury’s resurgence in the heavyweight division in recent years, has revealed what the former WBC champion will do next.
“He’s back here,” said Warren when speaking to Talksport.
“He’s recuperating and his mood is that he wants the rematch. That is already signed for so that will happen.”
