Frazer Clarke says he has a game plan to defeat Fabio Wardley, but acknowledges he will be "a reactive fighter" when the pair meet in Riyadh once again.
Seven months on from their clash at London's The O2 Arena in March, the pair will fight a heavyweight rematch on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol.
Clarke, who claimed bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games three years ago, will compete outside of the United Kingdom for the first time as a professional.
But at the Kingdom Arena, as part of Riyadh Season, he will be keeping his focus on ensuring he delivers the result he demands of himself.
"We have a game plan, of course we do," he said at a pre-event press conference. "But I’m a reactive fighter, I’ll go in there and do what I need to do."
Reflecting on their last bout, Clarke acknowledged that the event made for an impressive spectacle, but has been difficult viewing for him to return to.
"[It was] a really good fight, and great entertainment for everyone else, but I look back at that and just see mistake after mistake which I made," he added.
"I’ve put the work in, put it on myself to iron out those creases and right these wrongs. Mistakes can’t be made when the stakes are high."
