One Garcia down, another Garcia in his sights.
Moments after defeating Hector Luis Garcia by TKO on Saturday night, Gervonta Davis let the boxing world know that he's "ready" to fight Ryan Garcia next. The two sensations have a fight slated for later this year and "Tank" can't wait.
"I'm ready for the fight," a victorious Davis told Showtime's Jim Gray inside the ring at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C., and live on pay-per-view. "It's scheduled for April. I'm here. He's been training, he's been talking and let's see who's really about that."
He added: "On my end, I'm ready!"
To that, Garcia tweeted the following:
The fight would pit two undefeated boxers, not to mention a couple of the brightest young stars that the sweet science has to offer, against each other in a mega bout.
"Tank," 28, improved to 28-0 with 26 knockouts via Saturday night's win. Garcia, 24, stands 23-0 with 19 KOs.
