She found a way.

Ginny Fuchs felt a sharp pain in the opening round of her fight with Adelaida Ruiz at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, and live on DAZN, on Saturday night.

At first, she thought it was simply a jammed thumb.

But as the pain persisted over the course of the fight, so did Fuchs, who earned a hard-fought split-decision victory to claim the WBC interim super flyweight title in just her fourth professional fight.

As she removed her gloves following the fight, she saw the extent of her thumb injury ... and it was rather gruesome.

"I felt it the first round, I think it was a hook I'm pretty sure," Fuchs began explaining to DAZN's Chris Mannix about what caused the injury. "I just thought I jammed it really bad. I was like 'ooh.'

"But it kept hurting through the fight but I just tried to ignore it," she continued. "And then when I took my glove off I was like 'oh s—t, I broke it!'"

Despite the ghastly fracture, Fuchs found a way to have her hand raised — not to mention, earn even more respect from her peers.
