Golden Boy Promotions announced today the multi-year contract extension of three-division and five-time world champion Yokasta Valle (31-3, 10 KOs). Nicaraguan-born and Costa Rican-raised, Valle will be looking to continue her dream of becoming world champion again and one day become undisputed.

“Signing this contract extension with Golden Boy Promotions is another dream come true. To be able to continue to work with the best promotional company motivates me to become a world champion again, and to continue my path to becoming undisputed,” said Valle. “With Oscar on my team, I know there are big fights out there for me. With Golden Boy’s platform, I know we can continue to grow women’s boxing, that women around the world can see me and be motivated by my story and that they may know that anything is possible.”

“Yokasta has already had an incredible career as a world champion in multiple weight classes — and I strongly believe that she is just getting started,” said chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya. “Yokasta knows that she will be a world champion once again, and everyone in the lighter weight divisions should consider themselves on notice.”

Valle is a distinguished professional boxer representing Costa Rica and renowned for her tenacity, skill, and determination in the ring, earning her a reputation as one of the top female boxers in the world and is currently ranked as the No. 2 best female 105-pounders by ESPN.com and The Ring Magazine. She is a five-time world champion in three weight classes, having held the IBF atomweight, WBO and IBF minimumweight and WBO and IBF light-flyweight titles during her career.

Valle moved to Costa Rica at a young age and began her boxing career in her early teens, quickly rising through the ranks in a sport predominantly dominated by men. Her passion for boxing, coupled with her rigorous training regimen, led her to become a formidable competitor in the lower weight classes. Valle’s career reached new heights in 2016 when she won the IBF minimumweight title, making history as one of Costa Rica’s premier boxing champions. She further solidified her legacy by capturing the WBO and WBC world titles in the same division. Valle has successfully defended her titles multiple times, showcasing her dominance and earning widespread recognition.
