Have we seen the end of Manny Pacquaio? That was the big talking point on the most recent edition of The DAZN Boxing Show as Ak & Barak discussed the fallout of Pacquiao’s loss to Yordenis Ugas. Pacquiao has been silent regarding his next move but there’s many who believe that we may have seen him in a boxing ring for the final time.
Following arguably the greatest career in boxing history, Pacquiao, an eight-weight world champion, may prefer to place his efforts on politics as he seeks the presidency of his native Philippines. The welfare of his country has always been close to his heart and such a role would surely spell the end of his fighting career. Barak believes Pacquiao’s cramped legs may give him an excuse to go again.
“With the post-fight press conference, when you have a prepared speech, that would lead me to believe that the night is over,” said Barak when conversating with his co-host regarding Pacquiao’s time in the sport potentially being over.
“I think there’s a reason and I think in his mind, the tight legs won’t sit right with him. Freddie Roach told us that he has a path with Manny and when Manny retires, he retires. Neither one of those guys want to retire.”
