'He wants all the belts in the division': Terence Crawford has his sights set on welterweight supremacy after Top Rank splitDAZN
The DAZN Boxing Show discusses Terence Crawford's future following his decision to leave Top Rank.

One of the major talking points following Terence Crawford's win against Shawn Porter was surrounding the WBO welterweight champion's future after deciding to end his time with Bob Arum's Top Rank.

With Crawford now being a free agent, many fans are hoping the long-awaited clash with IBF and WBC champion Errol Spence Jr. can finally be made.

Speaking on the latest instalment of The DAZN Boxing Show, Ak believes Crawford's decision lifted the weight of the world off his shoulders.

"Terence plays the ‘good guy’ for a very long time and always give Top Rank and Bob Arum a certain level of respect and not reveal everything," Ak said.

"He got a lot off his chest and the weight of the world off his shoulders when he said that comment."

Co-presenter Barak also claimed Crawford's breakaway is motivated by a number of factors, including the chance to become the undisputed champion at 147lbs.

"There comes a time when you get this popular and you get this ‘big’ that you should take control of your career, of your destiny, or maybe like Anthony Joshua you like your promotional company, they’re handling you well, they give you all the fights you want then you stay with them long term," Barak explained.

"In this particular instance, he [Terence Crawford] said ‘I didn’t get the Spence fight’ and that goes to show what I always say, ‘he wants the Spence fight’, and it’s not just because its Spence, it’s because he’s the unified champion.

"That’s who he wants, he wants all the belts in the division."

However, while fans get excited over the prospect of a fight with Spence Jr. in the near future, there is one name that Barak believes cannot be forgotten.

"You know everybody wants him to fight Spence, but at the end of the day you cannot forget Ugas, he beat Manny Pacquiao before Terence beat Shawn, if anybody deserves a shot at Errol it’s Ugas.

"I feel that’s kind of right, Errol fights Ugas and the winner of that fights Terence Crawford."
