Mahmood Charr is lining up a fight with Jarrell Miller before he hopes to move onto a clash against WBC champion Tyson Fury.
The 38-year-old is the current WBA ‘Regular’ champion, and while that might ultimately put him in the frame for a mandatory challenge against Oleksandr Usyk, he wants the Briton instead.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Charr said that he anticipates a fight with Miller next.
"I will beat Miller and want to move to Tyson Fury," he said.
He then explained that he would turn to Fury, and dismissed the chance to fight Anthony Joshua, who may be in need of an opponent this December if a fight with Deontay Wilder is not finalised soon.
"Fury and me, it will be the best fight right now in heavyweight entertainment,” he continued.
"I am always looking to fight the best, this is Fury right now."
"Many people tell me [to] fight Anthony Joshua after that. Really I am not interested in fighting him.
"I want legacy. If want to be the best, I need to beat the best. Tyson Fury is my focus, nothing else.
"I know AJ is money but money doesn't attract me," he added. "Legacy is the goal."
