Could we see a fascinating fight later this year?

Lewis Crocker was dominant when stopping Jose Felix earlier this month and it now appears that the Belfast welterweight could be facing Paddy Donovan in the near future.

Crocker missed the 147lbs weight limit at Friday's weigh-in and he looked much bigger when the fight got underway, using his size to break down Feliz in five rounds.

Attention will now switch to what’s next for Crocker and it’s likely that a big showdown with Donovan, who was victorious on the undercard, could happen next.

Both men are enjoying impressive runs and victory for either man could be the ideal platform to push on and compete at a higher level.

“We want to make fights that make sense, that sellout arenas. That’s a fight that sells an arena. I think take that to the SSE, that’s a fight that makes a lot of sense,” said Matchroom CEO Frank Smith when speaking to ProBox TV

"People want to see great fights, that is a great fight. It is not like they are 6-0, 5-0, they are both at a stage in their career where it is the kind of fight that makes sense.

“But again, I might be wrong, and it doesn’t happen, but that is the focus for us to try and get that fight done.”
