The 27-year-old Briton is hoping to kickstart his career

Hughie Fury wants to make his own mark on boxing following his cousin Tyson Fury’s title defence last weekend.

The WBC champion defeated challenger Deontay Wilder last Saturday in Las Vegas, a fight that Hughie Fury attended in support.

The younger Fury now faces Christian Hammer this weekend.

"I believe now I'm the best and the only thing now is stop talking and do it," he told Sky Sports.

"I'm not much of a speaker. I'm not much of a shouter, but I always do my fighting in the ring.

"I wouldn't train like a maniac every single day for the rest of my life, if I didn't think I was capable of doing it."

Hughie has been out of the ring since defeating Mariusz Wach in December last year.

"I don't care about money, I don't care about anything," Hughie continued.

"My main thing is - getting to the top.

"I'm a fighting man, so let's see. He can do what he wants."

The 27-year-old believes that he has improved over the course of his career and is a stronger fighter now.

"I don't think they will be standing up," he explained.

"Everyone that has sparred me, from years ago to now, can see a big difference."
