The heavyweight hopes for a title fight.

Hughie Fury is likely to fight one of Robert Helenius or Michael Hunter next, with Ben Shalom hoping to put him on a path to a world title fight.

The heavyweight - WBC champion Tyson Fury’s cousin - had hoped to fight Derek Chisora following a win over Christian Hammer last October, but it seems he will have to look elsewhere if he wishes to get back in the ring in the near future.

The WBA have told Fury to fight Finnish fighter Helenius, but the Briton is hoping that doing so will earn him a chance to fight for a title.

"He wants the big fights," Shalom told Sky Sports.

"He wanted Chisora, I don't think that fight's going to happen now.

"He's looking at Helenius, we're looking at Michael Hunter.

"There's big fights out there for Hughie. He's only 27. I think he needs that big win against a big name on Sky Sports that will take him into contention.

"That should be announced in the next few days. I'm excited for Hughie and hopefully he can get his career on track and we can start to look at the really big fights."

Fury has fought for a world title once before when he lost to Joseph Parker for the WBO title back in 2017, and has also suffered defeats against Kubrat Pulev and Alexander Povetkin since.
