'I really don't care!' - Canelo Alvarez takes aim ahead of blockbuster bout with Edgar BerlangaDAZN
The Mexican superstar will enter the ring once more at the T-Mobile Arena this weekend.

Canelo Alvarez has dismissed his critics ahead of his bout with Edgar Berlanga this weekend, stating that he does not care for their opinions.

The Mexican will face "The Chosen One" in Las Vegas, in the familiar surroundings of the T-Mobile Arena, as he defends his WBA, WBC and WBO super middleweight titles.

The unbeaten Berlanga will present a challenge for the 34-year-old, but several pundits feel it is another soft-ball contender compared to David Benavidez or Terence Crawford.

But speaking ahead of the fight, Canelo has hit back at the naysayers, insisting he is unbothered by discussions over his choice of opponent.

"They always say something critical about me," he told DAZN. "I fight everybody and no matter what, they say something. So I really don't care."

Berlanga, who delivered first-round KOs across his first 16 professional bouts, offers a noticeable difference in size for Canelo, with greater height and reach.

But he remains unbothered by the difference too, adding: "He’s strong and fast, especially [at] the beginning of the fight.

"He’s big for the weight class, but [it is] nothing new for me. He just knows how to go forward and throw punches, and that’s why I think it’s going to be a good fight."
