Idris Virgo is fully focused on his next fight as he challenges Aaron Chalmers this weekend on the latest instalment of the MF & DAZN: X Series which is being shown live on DAZN .
Like Virgo, Chalmers also boasts a background in combat sport and television, and with this bout receiving plenty of mainstream attention, multiple doors could open for the victor.
Before entering the crossover boxing world, Virgo appeared to have a promising spell in the professional side of the sport as he ran up an impressive 12-0-1 record.
Now very firmly fixed on enhancing his name against the biggest names in crossover boxing, Virgo’s priorities have shifted but a return to pro boxing can’t be ruled out and Virgo has listed three names he would love to test himself against.
“Three names pop up in my head and the first one is Canelo,” said Virgo when speaking exclusively to DAZN.
“Second would be GGG and the last one is Billy Joe Saunders. Only reason I say Saunders is because we’ve got history because I sparred him. I done quite well so I wouldn’t mind testing the waters against him.”
