Is a fight with Gennadiy Golovkin next for Liam Smith?Ed Mullholland/Matchroom

Following his knockout win over Chris Eubank Jr this past Saturday, Liam Smith now finds himself with a myriad of options when it comes to who he will face next.

A rematch with Eubank Jr at Anfield and a world title fight with Gennadiy Golovkin are just some of the suggestions made when it comes to the next move for 'Beefy' and when speaking to The DAZN Boxing Show, Smith believes he can challenge for a world title at either middleweight or even light middleweight where he has held a world title.

"That [win] will put me in a good position at 160 now," Smith told Ak and Barak.

"I’ve always said before that if I beat Chris Eubank Jr, it leaves me in a very good position whether it be 154 or 160.

"If I beat Chris Eubank, it’s not going to harm my reputation, it’s not going to make me drop in any rankings."

Due to the current world title situation at 154lbs, it's likely that Smith will have to challenge for a belt at middleweight and it's something that he himself acknowledges.

"I have even more options again, we know the titles are all tied up at 154, [Jermell] Charlo holds all four of them and he’s out injured at the moment."
