Roy Jones Jr has revealed that he’s spoken to Anthony Joshua about the prospect of training the 2012 Olympic gold medallist.

Joshua is looking to rebuild his career after two consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk that both occurred under different training regimes.

Robert McCracken handled corner responsibilities for the first fight before Robert Garcia replaced him and oversaw the rematch.

Jones Jr, one of boxing’s greatest ever fighters, has limited training experience but he’s best known for his work with Chris Eubank Jr when analysing his coaching career.

Joshua’s next move is still unconfirmed and it’s not certain whether changes will be made to his team.

That hasn't stopped Jones Jr from insisting he’ll be spending time in the gym with Joshua.

“He’s come to talk to me too, so I’ll be one of those guys talking to him and we’ll see what happens,” said Jones Jr when speaking with Talksport

“We spoke the other day, so we’re gonna talk. He’s gonna come to the gym and see what we do. If it works out well, that’ll be it. If it don’t, he can go on and find a better trainer.”
