The DAZN Boxing Show discussed whether Andy Cruz is ready to take on Keyshawn Davis.
Cruz made his professional bow at the weekend when he beat Juan Carlos Burgos for the vacant IBF International lightweight, live on DAZN.
The 27-year-old Cuban is an Olympic gold medal winner after defeating Davis in Tokyo in 2021, and there is talk of the pair meeting in a professional setting in the near future.
Akin Reyes was impressed at the weekend, saying: “I think we have another possible superstar at 135lbs. It’s getting almost too loaded.”
Barak Bess meanwhile thinks that Cruz could be positioned in front of his erstwhile rival soon.
He said: “Shakhur Stevenson is very very good friends with Keyshawn Davis, they sparred together, and when Stevenson tweets something very positive about the guy that beat you, Andy Cruz, that says a lot.
"He’s not going to fake anything and he gives credit where credit is due.
“Andy Cruz looked good out there, he probably has to learn to sit down on his punches. I think Andy Cruz is going to be one of those guys. I wonder if they're going to rush him in quickly for Keyshawn Davis.”
