Eddie Hearn believes that Tyson Fury’s time in boxing could be over after his shocking performance against Francis Ngannou on Saturday night.
Hearn watched the bout whilst in Mexico when promoting his own show and he was left stunned by what he witnessed as Fury climbed off the canvas to edge a split decision victory over the boxing debutant.
The result has created widespread outrage in the boxing community with many people of the belief that Ngannou should've been given the verdict.
With Fury set to enter 2024 in line for huge fights against Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua, Hearn is insistent that Fury is no longer the same fighter.
“I think he’s done, I do. No disrespect,” said Hearn when speaking to Boxing Social.
“I think he’s amazing for boxing, but that left hook wasn’t even on the chin. It was a brushing shot and it put him over.
“If Joshua is in there tonight, he beats Tyson Fury seven days a week and twice on a Sunday.”
