Jake Paul on Tommy Fury's failure to fight: A decision he will regret for the rest of his lifeDAZN
The two celebrities had been set to fight in 2021.

Jake Paul believes that Tommy Fury pulling out of their planned fight ‘will be a massive regret for the rest of his entire life’.

The light heavyweight was due for the biggest fight of his career last year but had to drop out to be replaced by Tyron Woodley when he failed to recover from a broken rib and bacterial chest infection.

The 25-year-old YouTuber has since poured scorn and doubt on the suggestion that Fury was really too sick to fight, and continues to good his former rival while talking up other potential fights.

“Tommy Fury pulling out of the fight with his illness is more embarrassing than him fighting and getting knocked out. It’s bad either way for him but this way this way for him will be a massive regret for the rest of his entire life," Paul said to The Sun.

“He definitely seems very down though, he is complaining on Instagram about fans attacking him, claiming he didn’t fake an injury. He is clearly going through it.”

Paul even has a theory about how they decided to use the rib injury and illness as a way out of the bout.

“I think they knew that day that they were going to use the broken rib as an excuse, so they leaked it," he said.
