Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr. set for Aug. 6 after Tommy Fury withdrawalDAZN
Jake Paul still wanted to compete on Aug. 6 despite Tommy Fury pulling out of their scheduled bout for the second time. He didn't waste any time finding a new opponent.

Paul took to his Twitter on Thursday to announce he'll be taking on former sparring partner and by far the most accomplished boxer he's faced in Hasim Rahman Jr. from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Paul (5-0, 4 KOs) returns for 2022 after fighting three times in 2021. He knocked out Ben Askren in the first round in April 2021, bested Tyron Woodley by split decision last August, and then knocked out Woodley, who replaced Fury on less than two weeks notice, in one of the most scintillating KOs of the year. Now, he is taking on his toughest test to date.

Rahman (12-1, 6 KOs) is the son of former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman. The 31-year-old won his first 12 fights until being stopped in his last bout against James McKenzie Morrison in April. Rahman was ahead in the fight until being finished in the fifth round.
