Roy Jones Jr knows what it takes to step into the ring after sharing an exhibition bout with his fellow former heavyweight champion.
The pair collided in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic as they both put on a decent show despite being many years past their respective peaks.
This weekend, Tyson will compete in his first professional bout since 2005 when he goes in with Jake Paul, and the fight community is buzzing ahead of the intriguing encounter.
Paul, still a boxing novice, has built his record in recent years by fighting former MMA stars and boxers with similar experience to himself.
Last year, the popular YouTuber suffered his only loss to date when he narrowly outpointed by Tommy Fury despite dropping his great rival.
Paul has rebounded brilliantly since that setback, and he’s now set for another huge battle as he goes in with one of boxing’s most menacing fighters.

Jones Jr, who has also been linked to a showdown with Paul in the past, has given his verdict on how things could play out when the first bell sounds in Texas on Friday night.
“Mike Tyson can do one of two things, and I don’t think he’ll do the first option because he doesn’t have to – that would be to go out and get Paul out of there and put a barrage on him,” said Jones Jr when speaking to Talksport .
“I don’t think Paul can take his punches as good as Tyson can take his punch. However, Paul is a good puncher. Don’t get it wrong. And if Mike takes a good shot from Paul, Paul will get him out.
“But right now, I think, because of the experience, if they get into a dogfight, Tyson would definitely win a dogfight right away.
“But if Mike chooses to go out there and spend some rounds in the ring, to try to educate Jake on boxing, then it gives Jake a better chance.”
