DeAndre Savage is fully aware of what it takes to step into the ring with Jake Paul after spending time sparring the popular YouTuber.
The 6-0 heavyweight prospect has felt Paul’s power and was even dropped by his training partner, and he’s had his say on how his fight with Mike Tyson could play out.
Later this month, November 15, Tyson will have his first professional contest in almost two decades when he faces Paul in Texas.
The contest is set to be one of the biggest boxing events of 2024, and it’s a fight that has got the boxing world split when deciding the outcome.
Tyson enters the bout the man with the most experience, but with his last win coming in 2003, a first-round stoppage over Clifford Etienne, he comes into the bout a decent sized underdog.
The heavy-handed New Yorker is approaching 60 years of age, but there's a belief from some that his power and speed can still be huge factors.
Paul possesses nowhere near the ring time that Tyson owns, but youth in on his side, and there’s no doubt he’s an improving fighter.
Savage is looking forward to the contest and the unbeaten star has delivered his verdict on what might occur when the first bell finally sounds.
“Mike is Mike but it’s the age difference. I hope Mike wins, I do hope Mike wins, but I don’t think so. I think the age. I think it’s a big payday,” said Savage when speaking to Pro Boxing Fans .
“I don’t think it’s gonna be the fight everybody’s expecting. I don’t know. We’ve gotta see what happens. I hope it goes to the points. It’s still boxing but it’s like a different type of show, it’s entertainment.”
