KSI is backing Jake Paul to secure victory this weekend, but the popular YouTuber is not a fan of the fight due to Mike Tyson’s age.
Paul and Tyson will collide in one of the year's biggest boxing events, and it’s a fight that has split opinion within the boxing community.
The outspoken Ohioan enters the bout a significant favourite, largely due to his youth, and he’ll be facing an opponent who is 58 years old.
Tyson has not fought professionally since 2005 and even then there were signs that the former two-time heavyweight champion was struggling to throw shots.
Since his exit from boxing, Tyson has competed in multiple exhibitions, but his contest against Paul is set to be a step up.
KSI, who once shared a ring with Jake’s brother, Logan Paul, is currently working hard behind the scenes promoting the next Misfits extravaganza, live on DAZN, on November 28.
As well as leading the promotion for that show, headlined by Gib vs. Slim, KSI also has plans to return to action in 2025, but that hasn’t prevented the Londoner from having his say on this weekend’s huge battle.
“I don't think it’s going to be competitive at all. I think he’s going to blow Mike Tyson out the water,” said KSI when speaking exclusively to DAZN.
"Mike Tyson, is a legend and I respect him highly. This is not intended as disrespect to him or all he has done for the sport but the fact is that it’s an almost 69 year old version of him. Father Time remains undefeated. The difference in his physique, the difference in how he moves. Everything about him, it’s clear to see. It’s absolutely outrageous that Jake Paul is fighting an OAP.
“When it does happen, the whole world will be like, ‘why did we let this happen?’ But there’s people saying it shouldn't have happened in the first place, but no one wants to listen.”
