Roy Jones is backing Mike Tyson to have his hand raised when he faces Jake Paul later this year.
The former heavyweight world champion will collide with Paul in November as he competes in his first professional fight since losing to Kevin McBride almost two decades ago.
Tyson has featured in multiple exhibition bouts since his last official bout in 2005 and one of those occurred in 2020 against Jones Jr.
Once boxing’s best fighter, Jones Jr has long been a student of the sport, and after sharing the ring with Tyson, he’s had his say on how his battle with Paul might play out.
“I think it’s a great fight and a great marketing situation as well because a lot of people want to see it. It’s a young lion and an old lion. It’s a great situation for them,” said Roy Jones Jr when speaking to FightHype .
“It gives Jake a chance with Mike being as old as he is. I think it’s a great opportunity for both fighters, but I still think Mike is gonna be a little bit too much for Jake.”
