The face-offs between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley leading into their Sunday boxing match from the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, have been intense.
During the staredowns you can notice the social media star-turned-boxer and the former UFC welterweight champion sizing each other up. You can see the disdain each guy has for the other. The score will be settled on Sunday night.
"This is my make-or-break fight," Paul told DAZN News back in July. "This is my hardest challenge. Tyron Woodley has been boxing way longer than I have. He's been knocking people out while I was in high school in science class. This is definitely a tough challenge, and it's the perfect narrative."
Woodley will be making his professional boxing debut. He plans on sending Paul out of boxing in emphatic fashion.
“You want to go back and play Fortnite and Atari and Tic-Tac-Toe, as well? Or you wanna fight?," Woodley said in a recent press release. "You want to make bets like a little kid? I’m not going to get a tattoo, because I’m knocking him out. If he wants to walk around with my name on him, have at it. I think he wanted to do that anyway.”
We will see if Woodley can back up his trash talk, or if Paul can notch the most significant win of his short boxing career. There is value at looking at the tale of the tape. Let's take a look at how these two stack up on paper.
Jake Paul Record and Bio

One can see that by the numbers Paul has every advantage in terms of boxing experience. But Woodley has more combat sports experience with 27 career MMA fights, including his last 16 for the UFC where he became the welterweight champion in July 2016 when he knocked out Robbie Lawler
Woodley has tremendous power as he won seven of his 19 contests via knockout. But how does that translate to boxing is the big question. We've seen what Paul can already do but how will his strength match up with the most significant opponent the 24-year-old has faced to date?
Everything on paper with this tale of the tape and beyond comes to a head Sunday night, when Paul clashes with Woodley.
