Jamaine Ortiz predicts a bright future for Jake PaulDAZN

Lightweight contender Jamaine Ortiz believes the future is bright for Jake Paul who fights for the first time in 2022 on Saturday night.

The man known as 'The Problem Child' will take on former MMA fighter Anderson Silva in Arizona, and he is beginning to gain the respect of boxers across the world including Ortiz who is also in action on the same night against Vasiliy Lomachenko.

Speaking to The DAZN Boxing Show, Ortiz had plenty of praise for how Paul is navigating his journey as a professional boxer.

"Yeah, he’s put in the work and if you are putting in the work it doesn’t matter if you start late or whatever it is, he’s able to sell out arenas and make money in different ways," Ortiz responded when asked whether he respected Paul.

"I ain’t got nothing to complain about. In the beginning people asked the question whether it was for real, was it a façade, but he continues to put in the work.

"Eventually if you keep on investing your time into being a boxer, eventually you’re going to get good.

"Over time, him continuously training, he’s going to improve as a boxer, it doesn’t matter who his opponents are even though little by little he’s stepping it up."
