Jarvis became Misfits welterweight champion with a dominant points win over BDave in front of a rowdy crowd at York Hall, the home of boxing.
After five rounds, Jarvis had his hand held high by the fight’s third man and his control of the bout was evident in the scorecards as the judges all scored unanimously in his favour.
Despite the fight going all the way to the final bell, Jarvis was close to ending the contest in the opening session as he made an explosive start.
The Las Vegas man began quickly, and his fast start was almost rewarded after he dropped his opponent in the first round before following it up with a number of big attacks.
After suffering a torrid start, BDave wouldn’t wilt, and he showed immense bravery to remain in the fight even though he was second best throughout.
The Florida fighter did have moments of success where he was able to grab Jarvis’ attention, but the last word was often had by Jarvis and that was reflected when the ringside officials handed in their scores that crowned Jarvis the new champion.
