John Fury believes his son, Tommy Fury, will only need ‘one punch’ to settle his bitter rivalry with Jake Paul.
A meeting between the pair has consistently been thwarted by bad luck with Fury having to withdraw from two agreed meetings due to injury in 2021 and his inability to enter America earlier this year.
Paul enhanced his credentials this past weekend by dropping and outpointing former UFC star, Anderson Silva, and Fury could be his next opponent.
The younger brother of Tyson Fury is slated to appear on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather’s exhibition with Deji in November, and victory could see talks with Paul resume.
Tommy’s father is confident that Paul will be hurt if the fight ever happens.
"Jake Paul can’t fight. Tommy will knock Jake Paul out with one punch,” said the ex-fighter when speaking to Global Titans Fight Series.
“I’ll say it now on camera, Jake Paul will get knocked out with the first right hand that he throws, and I’ll put money on it.
“This man Tommy is fighting here, at least he’s a proper fighter. He trains as a boxer. All he’s fighting, he’s had seven pro fights against proper opposition. Not some hand-picked geriatric that needs a Zimmer frame to get in the ring.”
