Tony Bellew is backing Johnny Fisher to get the job done against Alen Babic when the heavyweight pair clash this weekend.
Fisher is hoping to maintain his unbeaten run, live on DAZN, and he’s coming up against a fighter who’s expected to give him his sternest test to date.
Babic’s rise up the rankings was an entertaining one but his momentum was dramatically halted in 2023 when he was stopped in one round by Lukasz Rozanski.
Securing one win since that setback, Babic appears to be over the setback, but Bellew believes he could be facing a hard night when he comes up against Fisher.
“Listen, whatever happens on Saturday night, you know it’s going to be brutal and entertaining,” said Bellew when speaking to DAZN.
“I like both fighters and they’re both big characters, but I can’t get that Rozanski loss out my mind and I think Babic could be in trouble.
“One thing about Babic though is that he will always be in the fight because he’s dangerous and he backs himself, but I just see Fisher being too big and strong, and capable of winning what I expect to be a brilliant fight as long as it lasts.”
