Josh Kelly names two huge fights he wants next after beating Gabriel CorzoDAZN

Josh Kelly wants one of two huge British fights next after defeating Gabriel Corzo.

The pair fought last night in Newcastle live on DAZN, with Kelly retaining his WBO international super welterweight strap.

The 29-year-old is ranked No. 2 with the WBO, and while Jermell Charlo is the current champion, he is currently preoccupied with his fight coming up against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

That has left two British fighters who might be looking for a new fight in the near future, Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr.

Benn has been out of action for a year and is looking for a return to the ring, and Eubank Jr. is currently yet to finalise a rematch with Liam Smith, meaning he could be open for a bout in the new future.

"I want big fights. I want those big names, the Eubanks and the Benns,” he said on DAZN after his win.

"I would welcome any of those names to the northeast. Any of those names, they have my number. I will take those dangerous fights."

Kalle Sauerland added: "This man is going to be a world champion, but what's next?

"We will push for that number one spot with the WBO, but there are also a lot of names out there and some of them are looking for fights.

"They want the big fights in the autumn and this win sets that up nicely.  There is going to be a big end to the year for Josh."

Kelly's coach, Adam Booth, said: "I would let him off the leash.

"It is time for Josh to show the level he is at and put him in with someone who is a name and who wants to throw their hands.

"Everyone loves big domestic showdowns, so let's make the fights because they are the fights the British people want to see."
