Former undisputed super lightweight champion Josh Taylor did not hold back when giving his reaction to Jack Catterall's win over Jorge Linares.
Catterall fought the former multi-weight world champion in Liverpool on Saturday night in what was a dominant performance from Brit.
The former world title challenger showed great patience and frustrated Linares throughout the 12 rounds before being declared the winner on the judges' scorecards.
Following the fight, Taylor was quick to give his thoughts on the fight and was quick criticise both Catterall's opponent and his ability inside the ring.
"38 year old, lost his last 4 fights, couldn't finish Darragh Foley but, it's a great win! Couldn't finish a Sunday Roast," Taylor posted on X.
The rivalry between Taylor and Catterall is one of the most intense in boxing right now after the pair first met February 2022 for Taylor's undisputed super lightweight title.
This meeting ended in controversy with Taylor declared the winner via a split decision despite being knocked down in round eight.
A rematch was then scheduled for earlier this year, but Taylor was forced to withdraw due to injury and since then both men have gone their separate ways, but after Catterall's win over Linares, it looks like these domestic rivals are on a natural collision course.
