Josh Warrington has vowed to return to the ring after a comprehensive defeat to Mauricio Lara.
The Mexican was a surprising victor, and though he won in the ninth round, some observers believed the fight should have been stopped in either the fourth or fifth round when Warrington already looked out of sorts.
Warrington had a 30-0 unbeaten record going into the fight, but that has now been lost, along with his IBF featherweight title.
Despite the scale of the victory, Warrington took to social media on Sunday to say that he would be returning to the ring, while praising his opponent, saying, "Thank you for all the well wishes, I'm back home with the family and recovering! Big congratulations to Lara, that lad can punch. The Warrior will return!"
