Juan Francisco Estrada made his homecoming fight a successful one by handing Dewayne Beamon his first loss of his career with an impressive ninth-round TKO.

Juan Francisco Estrada continues to prove why he's one of the best fighters in the world.

Fighting in his home country of Mexico on Saturday night, Estrada turned back the challenge of the game, but overmatched, Dewayne Beamon to retain his WBC super flyweight title at the Centro de Usos Multiples and live on DAZN.

Estrada, who was coming off an impressive showing against Srisakat Sor Rungvisai to take the title with a unanimous decision victory, had an opponent in front of him who wasn't willing to back down. That is, until the crafty Mexican made him do just that.

Estrada (40-3, 27 KOs) went to work early and dropped Beamon twice in the second frame, both courtesy of left hooks. Beamon was unwilling to fold and tried his best to brawl his way back into the fight. Although he had some success, it was all short-lived as the champion would snuff out any rally presented with brilliant counterpunching.

A seventh-round was filled with toe to toe action, but Estrada's punches were crisper and a chopping right hand briefly wobbled Beamon (16-1). With his opponent fading fast, Estrada turned up the pressure. The Mexican sent the fans home happy with a final assault that caused the referee to rescue Beamon from further damage in the ninth round.
