Julius Francis is ready to step back in the ring with Mike Tyson. Since becoming something of a social media sensation after knocking out an aggressive reveller whilst working as a security guard, Francis’ popularity has soared. Now, the former British and Commonwealth champion could be tempted to step back into the ring.

Back in 2000, Francis was selected as the opponent for Mike Tyson’s UK debut, and he famously got the soles of his boots sponsored. As well as sharing the ring with Tyson, Francis also exchanged blows with other high-profile boxers such as Vitali Klitschko, John Ruiz, and Audley Harrison. He walked away from the sport in 2006, but he’s now admitted that a comeback is possible.

“I'm going to put it out there. I've never liked talking about money, but they could put up with a decent offer,” said Francis when asked about a Tyson fight by TMZ.

“Then, who knows. I'm going to put it out there. I’m going to say we can have a rematch. I don’t know if anybody will watch it, but I'm going to say, yes.

“I have a daughter that tells me ‘You're not going to fight again,’ and I think to myself ‘Who would I fight?’ Obviously, people name Jake Paul or the other [Logan] Paul or whatever and it's a mega fight blah blah blah, but them guys, they're not in my category.”
