It doesn't look like retirement is on the table for Kell Brook just yet.
The former IBF world welterweight champion was speaking to TalkSPORT following his sixth round stoppage win over Amir Khan on Saturday night.
When asked about whether he would continue plying his trade inside the ring, Brook said the following.
“I’m not sure. I don’t know. I’m gonna sit down and speak to the family.
“Me personally, I wanna fight, but I know that my mum and dad aren’t too fond.
“We’ll see what my family says."
Brook also believes that following his win Khan's boxing career will finally come to an end and expects the Olympic silver medalist to announce his retirement.
"I don’t think he’ll fight again now," Brook said.
“I think he’s finished now, for good.”
The pair showed respect for each other following the contest after what was a heated build-up and Brook hopes it can be something that can be maintained.
"I just said, ‘Listen, I respect you there' " Brook told TalkSPORT.
“He took some big shots tonight.
“When a fight’s over and you’ve gone through a bit of a war together, it’s just a natural thing.
“I’m a nice guy, he seems to be a nice guy.
“He’s never given me that respect, but I think he will give me that respect from now on. He’s got to.”
