KSI is the United Kingdom's biggest social media star and splits his time between playing video games, rapping and cracking jokes with his newfound passion: boxing.
On Saturday night, the internet personality will ply his craft for the first time as a professional when he squares off with rival Logan Paul in a six-round cruiserweight fight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The highly anticipated rematch of their amateur bout last year, which ended in a majority draw, has a lot on the line for both fighters. Although there are no titles, this fight is all about bragging rights, and the loser will have to endure a copious amount of ridicule that will surely damage their online credibility.
The 26-year-old Brit has been taking his training seriously as he left his home country for Las Vegas to work with a bevy of individuals within the boxing community that range from strength and conditioning coach Larry Wade to legendary cutman Jacob "Stitch" Duran. With Viddal Riley leading the charge in camp, KSI vows to silence Logan Paul and his fans in front of the millions who will be tuning in to witness the two personalities go toe to toe with no headgear.
As he prepares for the biggest fight of his life, KSI still found time to indulge in his musical roots and released a new song earlier this week in the form of "Down Like That," which features Rick Ross, Lil Baby and S-X.
"I love a lot of UK artists, but the States has some great talent as well," KSI told DAZN before rummaging through his iPhone to find his training playlist. "That song 'Wait A Minute' with Phresher and Remy Ma really gets me going. But the main song from this training camp for me has to be Meek Mill's 'I'm A Boss.'"
Why? The answer is simple.
"Because I'm going to show Logan Paul who the boss is on Saturday night," he says followed by his recognizable laugh. "This time I'm going to finish him off."
Here's a glimpse into his playlist, which you can listen to now on Spotify.
