KSI and Tommy Fury are finally going to collide but how will each fighter approach the intriguing crossover bout?
The entire world is talking about this epic contest, and it remains to be seen how each man will approach the fight.
Here, DAZN looks at the approach both combatants should take as they look to claim a big win.
KSI
Make an immediate impact
If KSI can hurt Fury early, then he’ll have his respect straightaway. Fury is the favourite largely because of his extra experience and there’ll be a belief in his head that’s far too good for a fighter with KSI’s lack of contests.
KSI can change that mindset with one big shot and if Fury knows he’s in a fight, he could get reckless leaving KSI with opportunities to exploit.
Set a fast pace
This contest is only six rounds and with Fury showing off a muscular physique, KSI should be aiming to tire him out as carrying that huge frame around is surely going to take its toll.
KSI could easily tire himself out with this approach, but he stands a better chance against a ragged Fury rather than one who is comfortable fighting at his own pace.
Don’t get frustrated
In his fight with Jake Paul, Fury was smart and used his extra experience to buy time by holding throughout and taking moments to grab rest.
He’s likely to employ a similar strategy against KSI and the YouTuber must be prepared for it instead of getting angry at his opponent’s tactics.
Tommy Fury
Use his experience
Although a novice pro, this is still very much KSI coming over to Fury’s world and he can prove that by fighting smart.
Fury can use his jab to deter KSI and if he can maintain a rhythm by keeping the fight at distance, he should be able to win rounds.
Don’t punch with KSI
Jake Paul was able to hurt and drop Fury when he decided to let his hands go and there’s a belief within the sport that KSI is far more aggressive than the American.
KSI has already proved he has power by hurting Joe Fournier and if Fury decides to exchange with him in a show of bravado, it could backfire in a big way.
Make his strength count
With both boxers still essentially new to the fighting arena, don’t expect a boxing clinic from either man.
This fight is going to get messy and there's going to a large number of clinches up close. Fury should be able to dominate these, and he can tire KSI out with his extra strength up close.
