KSI may not be competing for boxing's top prizes, but there is no doubt that he is quickly becoming a big name in the sport, even though he applies his trade in the crossover boxing sphere.
His rise to prominence has led to a number of callouts, most notably from UFC star Conor McGregor.
McGregor is no stranger to boxing after he fought Floyd Mayweather in 2017 in what was one of, if not the biggest event of that year and it looks like the Irishman's time inside the ring is not done yet.
When Anthony Joshua fought Robert Helenius in August, McGregor was in attendance, and after Joshua won via knockout in the seventh round, he stepped into the ring and went onto issue a challenge to KSI who was ringside.
But while KSI is busy preparing for his clash with Tommy Fury on October 14, live on DAZN, the British star did entertain the idea of facing McGregor.
"You never know, after Tommy [Fury] I’ll weigh up my options, see where I’m at, how I’m feeling," KSI told DAZN.
"With me, I feel like fights can always be huge especially after Tommy, it’s only going to get bigger.
"He just thinks he’s better than me, but then the way to get to me is saying ‘you can beat me in a fight’."
KSI then issued the following confident response when asked whether he could beat McGregor: "I truly believe so yeah."
