Kubrat Pulev's promoter vows his man will end the career of Derek ChisoraDAZN

Kubrat Pulev will end the career of Derek Chisora on Saturday night, according to Pulev's promoter Ivaylo Gotsev. The heavyweight rivals will renew hostilities this weekend as they do battle in a fight that will make it almost impossible for the loser to rebound from. The contest, live on DAZN, is six years in the making following the Bulgarian’s win over Chisora back in 2016.

Then, Pulev was considered one of the world’s best heavyweights and was fresh off an unsuccessful world title challenge against Wladimer Klitschko. His dominant win over Chisora is sure to give him confidence heading into the imminent rematch, and Gotsev is backing his man to bring a close to Chisora’s incredible career.

“We are going to send Derek Chisora home early and send Derek Chisora into retirement,” said Gotsev when speaking to BoylesSports Boxing.

“What is Chisora going to do if he loses? It's going to be a hard one to come back from. It's a must-win for both guys. This fight is not going the distance, that's what we are training for. The winner has a great chance of challenging for a world title."

Gotsev added: “Chisora's style will make the fight very exciting, he'll keep coming, but he'll play into Kubrat's hands. Kubrat has an awesome jab and will keep Chisora at bay. But we've worked on some surprises. So don't be surprised to see a brawl in the centre of the ring. We are coming forward too. Kubrat has plenty in his artillery.”
